Milwaukee at Atlanta at 1:07; Houston at Chicago at 3:37; Tampa Bay at Boston at 7:07; San Francisco in LA at 9:37 PM ET.
First up today it’s the Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves at 1:07 PM ET in Truist Park after the two teams split the first two games of their NLDS matchup in American Family Field.
So, how does Braves’ skipper Brian Snitker feel going back home for today’s matchup? Does the home field advantage mean a lot? Does he talk to his team about feeding off the energy of the crowd and representing Atlanta on a national stage?
“I mean, I don’t know that I have to talk about it,” Snitker said. “They all know it. They know this thing is going to be — just like it was in Milwaukee.
“Their fans came out big and it was wild. We knew it was going to be loud in there.
“Especially the first night with the roof closed. It will be loud here. It will be a lot of energy.
“And it’s what these guys signed up to do. I mean, they appreciate it all year long. The support we’ve had here at home has been really, really good.
“The Braves nation has come out strong from the get-go here for these guys. And they’re very appreciative of that, I think.
“And it’s a great place to play here, and it is. These guys are going to be excited about being able to perform in front of all those people.”
Brewers’ starter Freddy Peralta, who’s coming off two weeks on the IL, talked about the club he is taking on in Game 3 of the best-of-five series, and his plan going into today’s outing.
“I have a game plan already,” Peralta said, “and — that we have a really good pitching coach and a lot of people in there that will take care of all of those moments, like videos, the video staff. And we always have a really good plan. We just have to try to add little things and see how we can navigate in the game.
“But most important for me is when I’m in the game, see how the game is going, what the hitters are doing. Sometimes we can see it, like what they’re looking for. But we have to have that little plan, but the moment is going to tell me, like, what to use, how I’m feeling on the mound, what’s working best and all that.”
Who will come out of today’s game a win away from advancing to the NLCS? Who are you pulling for in the ALCS matchups? Do you want to see the Astros wi— obviously not, right? Buncha cheaters. Will the Red Sox close out their matchup with the Rays? Who will go up 2-1 in the Giants and Dodgers’ series?
It’s a long day of baseball. Enjoy…
