Follow along as the red hot Nats look to sweep the slumping Snakes
Boy has the Nationals offense has been explosive lately. They scored 10 runs in the first inning last night, including nine before they got an out. That historic onslaught gave the Nats their fourth win a row.
Today they are looking for the sweep with Mitchell Parker on the mound. After a fantastic start to the season, Parker has struggled mightily lately. As for the lineup, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Davey Martinez has the same nine as last night. Luis Garcia Jr. will remain in the cleanup spot, with Davey rewarded his hot stretch of hitting.

The Diamondbacks are switching things up with a lefty on the mound. Old friend Ildemaro Vargas will make his first appearance of the season, starting at second base. That means Ketel Marte will move to DH. Tim Tawa and Jose Herrera will get their first starts of the series. Loures Gurriel Jr. will also re-join the Snakes lineup. Diamondbacks ace Corbin Burnes will look to stop the bleeding for the Snakes. He has been pitching well lately, but the Nats have had success against him over the years.

This run since the seven game losing streak has been the best the Nationals have played in years. They finished May with a 15-12 record and look to carry that into June. Finishing off a sweep would be a great way to start the month. Comment down below and let’s go Nats!
