Follow along as the Nats look to snap their six game losing streak
Well the offense wasn’t the issue last night. The Washington Nationals put nine runs on the board, but it was not enough to beat the Marlins. The pitching staff faltered and they fell 11-9. Now the losing streak is at 6 games, and the boys need to right the ship.
With a left handed opener, the Nats have an interesting lineup. Amed Rosario and Riley Adams, who have been fixtures against lefties lately are in. However, Josh Bell is at DH, despite the big switch hitter going 2/41 against left handed pitching. Robert Hassell will patrol center field, with Davey Martinez preferring him to Jacob Young. The mostly ineffective Trevor Williams will take the mound.

The Marlins have made a few changes. Jesus Sanchez will get into the lineup and play right field. Last night’s hero Agustin Ramirez will move to catcher while Liam Hicks will DH. Javier Sanoja will get the start at second base, as Marlins mainstay Xavier Edwards gets a day off. Left hander Cade Gibson will be the opener for the Fish this afternoon.
Right back at it.

The Nationals have been unable to stop the bleeding lately and desperately need to get back into the win column. They should be able to beat the Marlins, but they have lost three of four to the Fish this season. It is time for this team to say enough is enough. Comment down below and let’s go Nats!
