Around 40 firefighters responded to a fire in the garage at Park Place in Annapolis Saturday morning, according to the Annapolis Fire Department.
Around 11 a.m., firefighters with the department and assisting units arrived to investigate a reported fire in the garage of 1 Park Place. Upon arrival, they found smoke that led them to boxes on a pallet that had been on fire before being extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system.
After the department’s Fire and Explosives Services Unit conducted an assessment, investigators determined that the fire was set intentionally after an altercation, leading to the arrest of a suspect on charges of reckless endangerment.
The department reported no injuries among civilians or firefighters.
