A Linthicum Heights man was arrested Tuesday morning on child pornography production and possession charges.
Philip Turner, 46, also faces four counts of sexually soliciting a minor. If convicted on all 12 charges, he could face up to 105 years in prison.
According to a news release from the Maryland State Police issued Tuesday, Homeland Security Investigations Maryland began identifying sexual traffickers of children in the Philippines in 2024.
Police said the traffickers used online platforms so people could pay to virtually direct minors through a live camera feed. According to the release, police believe Turner paid the traffickers to direct 10- to 13-year-old girls to engage in child pornography in the Philippines “and around the globe.”
Police said Turner was served search and seizure warrants on his home and vehicle Tuesday morning. They said he was arrested without incident.
Turner is being held without bail at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. He did not have an attorney listed in Maryland court records Tuesday. He has a bail review hearing scheduled for Wednesday in the Annapolis District Court.
