Prince George’s County native Tramell Tillman, who portrayed Seth Milchick in the Apple TV+ series “Severance,” is an Emmy winner.
Tillman also became the first Black actor to take home an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his depiction of one of the series’ main antagonists, most often referred to as “Mr. Milchick” or “Milkshake.”
Tillman, 40, attended the awards show with his mother.
“Mama, you were there for me when no one else was and no one else would show up,” he said while accepting the award.
“Your loving kindness stays with me,” he said. “This is for you.”
The Largo native won over “Severance” colleagues Zach Cherry, who portrayed Dylan George in the series, and John Turturro. Also nominated in the supporting actor category: Walton Goggins, Sam Rockwell and Jason Isaacs of HBO’s “The White Lotus.”
The 2025 awards show is expected to be a breakout year for Apple TV+ as two of the streaming platform’s shows, “Severance,” and the Seth Rogen comedy series “The Studio,” are the most-nominated and favored to win.
“Severance,” a dystopian office drama about people who surgically split their psyches into workplace “innies” and home “outies,” was the top overall nominee with 27 nominations for its second season.
