Washington Wizards GM Will Dawkins gave injury updates on a couple of players ahead of training camp kicking off next week. Both Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr will be limited as the Wizards open the preseason, with one player out longer than the other.
Coulibaly is expected to be out through the first week or two of the regular season. He’s recovering from surgery to repair an injury to a ligament in his thumb.
Sarr should be back sooner than his teammate. The Wizards young big man is recovering from a strained calf that caused him to miss the end of France’s EuroBasket run. Sarr is expected to miss the start of camp, but Dawkins said the Wizards are hopeful that their starting center will return before camp is over.
