Where: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
How to watch: NBC Sports Washington
In October, Deandre Ayton was suspended 25 games without pay for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program by testing positive for a diuretic. The Center, who only played in the season opener, will be sidelined until Dec. 17.
Expect Former Wizards Kelly Oubre to play well
Kelly Oubre is having the best season of his career. The small forward (and former Wizard) is averaging a career-high 17.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game this season. Don’t be surprised if he goes off on his former team.
This is a back-to-back game for the Wizards
The Wizards will play the Nuggets Tuesday night in Denver before traveling to Phoenix. Hopefully they are locked in and ready to work during this four-game West coast trip. The Wizards will continue to rely on Bradley Beal’s leadership to help set the tone and, even change the momentum of games.
Will Troy Brown Jr. turn the page?
Brown Jr. has struggled this season despite seeing the floor of almost 22 minutes each game. It looks like Coach Brooks is invested in his development and this might be the perfect season to have that time to improve. However, that could easily change so don’t be surprised if his minutes on the floor decrease if he doesn’t contribute more.
