Wizards sign Tristan Vukcevic to two-way deal

July 11, 2025 by Bullets Forever

Vukcevic averaged 9.4 points last season

The Washington Wizards signed F/C Tristan Vukcevic to a two-way contract, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Washington Wizards are re-signing 7-footer Tristan Vukcevic to a two-way NBA deal, sources tell ESPN. Vukcevic averaged 9.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game last season and will enter his third NBA campaign.

The 7-footer flashed his offensive game in 35 appearances in 2024-25, averaging 9.4 points and 3.7 rebounds on 49.6% FG and 37.3% 3pt.

Vukcevic, who was selected by Washington with the No. 42 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, averaged 23.0 points and 6.6 rebounds over the final three games of the 2024-25 campaign, showcasing his offensive potential as a stretch big.

Vukcevic ended the season on a high note in Miami, scoring 28 points on 9-for-12 shooting while adding 11 rebounds and five assists.

Retaining Vukcevic gives the Wizards a bit more clarity in the frontcourt but doesn’t exactly solve their depth concerns, as the roster contains just three players 6-foot-9 and taller.

Alex Sarr will likely start at center. Richaun Holmes, who has only $250k guaranteed on his contract for the 2025-26 season, remains on the roster as a possible backup center.

Vukcevic’s return helps, but on a two-way deal, the 22-year-old can only be active for 50 NBA games, which means Washington will likely look to add another center before the season begins.

Washington’s roster remains at 17 standard NBA contracts — team’s must be down to 15 standard deals by opening night — which means more moves are still to come.

The Wizards’ two-way contracts — NBA teams can have a maximum of three — are also full.

  2. Jamir Watkins
  3. Tristan Vukcevic
