Derrion Reid, a former five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American, will transfer to Oklahoma, a source told ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 6.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists in his freshman season with the Crimson Tide. Reid was considered one of the most versatile forwards in the country coming out of high school, and he showed flashes of greatness at Alabama.
Reid scored in double-figures six times, including a 12-point outing vs. Creighton in December to help Alabama secure a key nonconference win. He also shined against North Carolina.

The former five-star averaged just 14.1 minutes per game at Alabama and will be looking to have an elevated role with the Sooners.
Porter Moser and Oklahoma were toward the bottom of the brutally difficult SEC this past season, finishing the regular season with a 6-12 conference record. It’s 20-14 record overall earned them a trip to the Big Dance, where they were eliminated in the first round by UConn.
Reid will help Oklahoma, along with other portal additions Nijel Pack, Tae Davis and Xzayvier Brown, to get back to March Madness in 2025-26.
