Baylor on Sunday landed a commitment from Duke transfer guard Jeremy Roach.
Roach figures to be a perfect veteran addition for Scott Drew, who recently turned down the Kentucky job to remain at the Big 12 school.
Baylor is bringing in five-star guards VJ Edgecombe of Long Island Lutheran (NY) and Rob Wright III of Chipotle’s national champion Montverde (FL) Academy, both of whom played in Sunday’s Jordan Brand Classic at Barclays Center.
Roach averaged 14.0 points, 3.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds as a junior at Duke.
Duke’s Tyrese Proctor and Caleb Foster are returning to campus, while Kyle Filipowski and Jared McCain declared for the NBA Draft and Roach is one of seven players transferring out.
The Blue Devils have the No. 1 recruiting class led by Cooper Flagg, who former Duke star Austin Rivers says should be part of the U.S. Olympic team.
