Legendary former head coach and broadcaster Dick Vitale is teaming up with NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley for two broadcasts this season, beginning with Indiana at Kentucky on December 13th on ESPN. The two will be joining long-time ESPN broadcaster Dave O’Brien on the telecast.
“Dick (Vitale) and Charles (Barkley) are two of the most entertaining and iconic voices in basketball, so having them together on the same broadcast is a true gift for fans,” said Burke Magnus, ESPN’s President of Content. “We are thrilled to have it come to fruition, especially for a marquee college basketball rivalry game like Indiana-Kentucky in primetime on ESPN.”
The two will also announce an NCAA Tournament First Four game together in Dayton, Ohio.
Vitale has been apart of broadcasts for over 1,000 games for ESPN. The famous Inside the NBA show, which includes Barkley moved to ESPN at the start of the season after 36 years on TNT.
