SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — As a slick, left-handed point guard who constantly locates cutters, floats up lob passes, and attacks downhill, Class of 2027 point guard Nasir Anderson has become one of the most dazzling point guards in the country.
The 6-foot-4 and 200-lb Anderson, now spearheading a high powered offense alongside All American hopefuls Bruce Branch and Caleb Holt at Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has been hearing from a steady barrage of high majors.
“Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia of course, its still early in the process so I’m just letting it play out,” Anderson said.
From Savannah, Georgia, Anderson has been hearing consistently from head coach Mike White and his staff.
“Coach White, he actually just called me the other day,” the dynamic and vertically explosive kid they call “Rudy” explained.
“(White) is just really trying to build the relationship. He is trying to build the relationship early in the process with my Mom. It has been going well with them.”
How does the hard attacking, quick paced, and play-creating Anderson envision himself translating to Georgia in the ultra competitive SEC conference?
“Coach (White) just wants me to come in there and run the team,” Anderson said. “He basically emphasized how he wants the ball to me in my hands.”
Is Georgia jockeying for the front runner position in Anderson’s recruitment?
“Right now it is really them or Kentucky or Tennessee,” Anderson said.
“Its pretty even all across the boards and plus, it is still early in the process.”
