Duke is hosting international five-star Dame Sarr for an official visit, a source confirmed to ZAGSBLOG. Sarr is a 6-foot-7, 190-pound guard from Italy and has drawn interest from many top programs in the country.
Sarr plays for FC Barcelona of the Spanish LIGA ACB in Spain and averaged 5.8 points per game this season, appearing in 12 games for the team.
Sarr has also received heavy interest from Kansas, Oregon and Illinois and took an official visit to Kansas on May 7.
He is viewed as a high-upside target by many college programs, due to his big frame and room for growth. NBA scouts have said he has one of the quickest first steps in the class of 2025 and is one of the best rim finishers in the world. Teams are looking for improvement with his jump shooting, but Sarr is still viewed as one of the prospects with the best upside in the class of 2025.
With summer workouts fast approaching, Sarr has not yet set a timetable for his recruitment.
