New Texas A&M head coach Bucky McMillan landed his first commit in the class of 2026, landing Neiko Mundey, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard from Olney, Maryland. Mundey had around 20 offers and chose the Aggies over Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas, USC, Washington, Oklahoma State and Pittsburgh.
A rising senior at Prince George’s Christian Academy (MD) – he is a high-volume scorer and an aggressive and consistent defender. Mundey averaged around 21 points per game this summer, while shooting 40% from long range. Many scouts view his length and athleticism to be his two strongest traits, arguing that these two characteristics make him a game-changing player.
Spending his summer with New World AAU on the 3SSB circuit, he was widely considered one of the most competitive and intense players across the entire circuit. Many scouts have raved about Mundey’s ability to be a score-first guard and attack the rim with poise and power.
Texas A&M head coach Bucky McMillan is entering his first season in College Station after replacing former head coach Buzz Williams, who departed for Maryland this past spring. McMillan is off to a fast start on the recruiting trail, picking up Mundey, who is ranked as a top-45 recruit in the class of 2026 according to 247Sports.
