NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — As a big guard widely known for his dazzling athleticism, floor stretching shooting aptitude and patented mid range pull up, class of 2026 Norcross (GA) HS prospect Jaron Saulsberry brings a two-way presence and the ability to impact every category of the stat sheet.
With his length and defensive versatility, the 6-foot-7, 193-pound Saulsberry continues to generate buzz across the high major market.
Saulsberry turned in several convincing performances playing on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer, including a 24-point and five rebound showing against Boo Williams. As a competitor, Saulsberry emphasizes playing with a high motor, attacking every play in full throttle fashion, and mindful awareness. He averaged 14.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in the Peach Jam PIT.
“I’m a high-motor, high defensive player,” Saulsberry said. “I’m not really one to basket hunt, but I can get to the rim and finish. I like to get to the paint and work on my middy, and I’ve really been working on that in the gym.”
Saulsberry is slated for an official visit to Ole Miss on Sept. 27th. He plans on scheduling more visits moving forward like Florida State, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech. The four-star holds additional offers from Arizona State, Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, NC State, TCU, USC and several others.
“Ole Miss is high on my list right now,” Saulsberry said.
“I know Chris Beard really likes to win. He wants someone who likes to win as well. I’m a very competitive player, that is really going to play along. I’m a guy who prides himself on playing through adversity. The way he coaches, coach Beard gives his guys freedom and lets everyone go. That is really what he was emphasizing to me. It is like a position-less team over there. I would say that I am someone that people want to play with.”
Saulsberry broke down a couple other programs involved:
Texas A&M: “[Bucky McMillan] was recruiting me last year. He came and watched me, said he was going to wait to offer me and see how I progressed. He came back and saw me and said I progressed, so he offered me right on the spot. He’s a good dude.”
Virginia Tech: “Kevin Giltner, he’s a really good dude. God driven dude. He’s been recruiting me really hard too. I haven’t visited them yet, but they be sending me stuff, showing me the campus and stuff through pictures. So I’m looking forward to going to visit there too.”
Saulsberry said he doesn’t have a commitment timeframe in mind right now.
A four star guard, Saulsberry sets a loud tone defensively. Guarding the 1-3 throughout this past summer, he had multiple games of four steals or more.
Saulsberry’s father, Bernard, played college basketball at Texas Tech. He’s passed down to his son several valuable lessons about the game.
“Don’t take no plays off and just keep playing with a high motor,” the four-star said. “Even if my offense is not on, I know I can get at least 10 rebounds, a couple steals and stuff. And I know coaches look for that. So he really drilled that into my head, and I don’t trip if I don’t score many points.”
Saulsberry is ranked the No. 112 overall prospect in the class of 2026 by 247Sports.
