Because of his play, Rosario’s recruitment soared with Blue Bloods like Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina offering. Rosario took visits to Florida State and Oregon before his trip to Lawrence. He was set to visit Texas A&M and Duke as well but decided on the Jayhawks shortly after his official.
“We’re very excited to add Kohl this year’s team,” Self said. “It’s not often there’s a player of his potential to become available at this point. We feel that what Kohl brings from a perimeter athletic shooting standpoint is something that we’ve needed to add to this year’s roster. He is one of the hardest working youngsters that we’ve ever recruited and feel the transition to college ball will be more seamless due to this. He’s been very well drilled, and I think his competitiveness will add a piece to our culture.”
Rosario was ranked a top-50 prospect by 247Sports as a member of the 2026 class. He can really shoot it from deep and has the athleticism to play above the rim and finish dunks. He’s officially signed with the Jayhawks.
The Kansas roster outlook for next season is now as follows:
- Returners: Flory Bidunga, Elmarko Jackson, Jamari McDowell, Noah Shelby.
- Transfers: Jayden Dawson, Melvin Council, Tre White.
- Incoming freshman: Rosario, Darryn Peterson, Bryson Tiller, Samis Calderon, Corbin Allen.
The Jayhawks will be in the market for a backup big man to complete the roster.
