Michigan State has received a substantial donation to its athletic program.
Grand Rapids based founder and Acrisure CEO Greg Williams has donated $401M to Michigan State with $290 going to its athletic program, per 247Sports.
Fundraising and donations have become a key part to the success of programs in the NIL era and this is sure to give Michigan State basketball head coach Tom Izzo a significant recruitment advantage moving forward.
The donation comes off the back of MSU’s “FOR SPARTA” initiative which is looking to raise $1 billion for MSU’s athletic program.
William’s donation is the single largest donation in college athletics history and will surely change life for Michigan’s student-athletes moving forward.
