Columbia has secured a three-star prospect in the Class of 2026.
Three-star guard Trae Nunn will join the Lions as part of their 2026 recruiting class, he announced on his Instagram on Sunday.
Nunn credited Columbia head coach Kevin Hovde as the deciding factor in his decision.
“Coach Hovde was definitely what made it a no brainer,” Nunn told ZAGSBLOG. “To have someone like him ,who has accomplished a lot in college basketball, see me and believe in me was really special and the fact that he trusts me to come in and help rebuild the program right away was a big plus for me.”
The 6-foot-5 guard played his high school basketball for Overtime Elite and played in Puma’s PRO16 circuit, where he averaged 19.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
Nunn will enter college with one of the highest GPAs in the country, a 5.68 GPA. He will look to play a key role for Columbia in the Ivy League conference.
