Four-star high school guard Acaden Lewis is headed to play for Kevin Willard at Villanova.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard from Sidwell Friends School (DC) and the Team Durant Nike EYBL AAU program — committed to Kentucky in November over Duke and UConn, but then decommitted. He visited St. John’s, Villanova, Georgia and Miami before making his decision.
His commitment is a major recruiting coup for Willard and gives him a key building block for the future.
“[I will bring] dynamic ball-handling, scoring, leadership, and making teammates better,” he said.
As for his skillset, Lewis previously said: “I’ll be bringing a flashy but effective play style that is exciting. I’ll continually make plays for myself and others and make great reads.”
Said Sidwell coach Eric Singletary: “Acaden’s evolution as a player and leader has been amazing to behold. His progress comes from a tremendous work ethic that’s second to none. The way he sees the game is as productive as it is creative.

“His appetite for winning and leadership are the hallmarks of his future success. I couldn’t be more proud and excited to see what is next for Acaden.”
Villanova on Thursday also added 6-foot-7, 210-pound Grand Canyon transfer Malcolm Flaggs who averaged 0.8 points in 11 games last season.
“[I chose Villanova because of] the coaching staff and their ultimate belief in me,” he said. “I was injured 2 of the 3 years of my college career and got healthy. I started performing at a high level to the capacity of my high school days when I was a 3-star top 50 [prospect] in the state. They gave me an opportunity to prove myself.”

The Wildcats are now done constructing their roster for 2025-26, per a source, but some commits may not yet have been announced.
