The Terps are looking to get back in the win column after their first loss of the season.
Maryland football (4-1) will travel to Columbus, Ohio to take on the No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes (4-1) on Saturday at noon.
It’ll be another Big Ten battle for the Terps, who are coming off of a crushing 51-14 defeat to then-No. 5 Iowa in College Park just over a week ago. Junior quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa threw five interceptions and Maryland star wide receiver Dontay Demus Jr. was injured on a kickoff return and has been since ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The Terps will look to bounce back this week, but it will certainly be an uphill battle facing a top 10 team in the country without their best receiver.
The Buckeyes, on the other hand, have improved ever since their first loss of the season to Oregon back on Sept. 11. This past week, Ohio State thrashed Rutgers 52-13 on the road in a blowout victory. Quarterback C.J. Stroud had a solid day, throwing for 330 yards and five touchdowns.
Maryland’s captains for the game will be linebacker Durell Nchami, defensive back Nick Cross, and offensive lineman Jaelyn Duncan.
The numbers
Maryland (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten), Ohio State (4-1, 2-0 Big Ten), All-Time Series: 6-0 Ohio State Odds: Ohio State -21.5
