MM 10.31: Maryland women’s basketball blows out Frostburg State, 90-40, in final exhibition

Maryland women’s basketball destroyed Frostburg State, 90-40, Wednesday night at Xfinity Center in its second and final exhibition game before the start of the regular season.

Rutgers transfer Kaylene Smikle led the Terps in scoring again with 24 points in just 26 minutes. She also recorded eight rebounds, two assists and seven steals.

Smikle joined Sarah Te-Biasu, Shyanne Sellers, Allie Kubek and Christina Dalce in the starting lineup, while five other Terps saw the court and all played at least 11 minutes.

As a team, Maryland shot 53.7% from the field, 14.3% from three and 84.2% from the free throw line.

The Terps will kick off their regular season at UMBC on Nov. 4.
