Ten Maryland track and field athletes qualified to compete in the NCAA East First Round meet in Jacksonville, Florida, from May 28-31.
These athletes include Tolu Akinduro (Triple jump), Eric Albright (800 meters), Jack Barchet (800 meters), Morgan Graham (Discus & hammer), Chioma Njoku (Hammer), Maya Valmon (400 meters) and the women’s 4×400 meters relay team (Samantha Payne, Lydia Robling, Kami Joi Hickson, Maya Mosley).
Njoku holds the highest rank among Terps in the East region for her respective event, ranking at No. 9 in the hammer throw. Meanwhile, Albright is 20th in the 800 meters and Graham ranks No. 16 in the discus.
