Former Maryland women’s basketball forward Alyssa Thomas scored 14 points and recorded 11 assists as the Phoenix Mercury took down the Connecticut Sun, 83-75.

Thomas spent the first 11 seasons with the Suns before being traded to the Mercury on Jan. 28.
In her return to Mohegan Sun Arena on Wednesday, the former Maryland star recorded a double-double and had an additional eight rebounds.
Thomas’ eight rebounds put her 17th all-time in the WNBA rebounds with 2448 career rebounds. Thomas now sits behind fellow former Maryland star Crystal Langhorne, who has 2454 career rebounds.

After recording 11 assists on Wednesday, Thomas became the first player in Mercury history to record 10 or more assists in four consecutive games. It is also the first time Thomas has recorded that feat in her 12-year career.
