Maryland men’s basketball is set to host Georgetown in the Terps’ 2025-26 home opener on Nov. 7. It will be the schools’ first matchup in 9 years.

The Terps lead the all-time series against the Hoyas, 38-27. Their first matchup occurred in 1911, but the teams haven’t met since 2016. In that most recent game, the Terps defeated Georgetown, 76-75, thanks to a fast break and two good free throws by Melo Trimble.
The Nov. 7 contest will kick off a four-game series between the schools that will continue through 2029, with the teams alternating hosting.
