Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa made a costly error during the first half of action against Ohio State.
With seven seconds remaining in the first half, Tagovailoa fired a pass over the middle of the field to Antwain Littleton II. That turned out to be a foolish throw on his part because the Terrapins didn’t have any timeouts left.
Tagovailoa should’ve either taken a shot toward the end zone or thrown the ball out of bounds. Dumping it off to a wide receiver over the middle of the field was one of the worsts options in that moment.
As a result, Maryland had to watch the clock run out despite having the ball inside the red zone.
This miscue from Tagovailoa ultimately cost Maryland a chance to grab the lead over Ohio State to end the first half.

Tagovailoa finished the first half with 144 passing yards, one touchdown and an interception.
Maryland needs Tagovailoa to play much better in the second half in order to upset Ohio State in Columbus.
