A 10-year-old and a 7-year-old were flown to Maryland Shock Trauma after a three-car crash in Carroll County on Wednesday, according to Maryland State Police.
At 5:05 p.m., Maryland state troopers responded to a report of a crash on Route 32 at Bennett Road in Eldersburg. After an investigation, officers determined that a Hyundai traveling southbound failed to yield to northbound traffic before being struck by a Toyota Prius. The Prius then crashed into a Chevrolet Malibu.
The two children were flown to Shock Trauma for treatment. No other injuries were reported, according to police.
Both lanes of Route 32 were closed as the police crash team investigated the incident.
