Three key players were missing from Baltimore Ravens’ practice on Thursday.
In addition to star quarterback Lamar Jackson missing his second straight day with a non-COVID-19 related illness, wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Rashod Bateman were both missing from practice as well, per ESPN Ravens insider Jamison Hensley.
Brown is listed with a thigh injury but Bateman’s reason for absence remains undisclosed.
Lamar Jackson (illness) did not practice for a second straight day.
Two of Jackson’s top wide receivers — Marquise Brown (thigh) and Rashod Bateman (undisclosed) — were also not present at Thursday’s practice.

Now in his third NFL season, Brown has developed into Jackson’s favorite deep-ball target. Through nine games this year, the former first-round pick has logged a team-leading 719 yards and six touchdowns. As Baltimore’s go-to receiver, he has three games this year with more than 100 yards receiving.
Bateman has been a solid rookie option in the passing game this year. In his first NFL season, the 27th overall pick out of Minnesota has notched 18 receptions for 241 yards — making him the third leading wide receiver option on the roster behind Brown and Sammy Watkins.
Even more impressive for the rookie, he accomplished these numbers in just four games. Missing the first five games of the season with a groin injury, Bateman made his first NFL appearance in a Week 6 contest against the Los Angeles Chargers.
It’s undetermined if Bateman’s absence from practice has anything to do with this previous injury.
The Ravens will face off against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
