Every Tuesday during the NFL season, FS1 radio host Colin Cowherd reveals his updated “Herd Hierarchy.” With that being said, there were some notable changes made to his power rankings after Week 2.
Last week, Cowherd had the Los Angeles Rams ranked as the best team in the NFL. They were bumped down to the No. 2 spot after Week 2, making room for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This makes sense considering how dominant the defending champions were against the Atlanta Falcons.
Cowherd’s rankings this week also included a major rise from the Baltimore Ravens, as they moved up to the No. 3 spot in the “Herd Hierarchy.” Clearly, Cowherd was impressed with their win over the Kansas City Chiefs, his fourth-ranked team.
Overall, Cowherd’s power rankings included all four teams from the NFC West, the Bills, Browns, Buccaneers, Chiefs, Ravens and Seahawks.
Here are the top 10 teams in the NFL, in order, according to Cowherd:
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Los Angeles Rams
- Baltimore Ravens
- Kansas City Chiefs
- San Francisco 49ers
- Arizona Cardinals
- Cleveland Browns
- Denver Broncos
- Buffalo Bills
- Seattle Seahawks

It’s a bit surprising that Cowherd didn’t include the Las Vegas Raiders in his top 10. They’ve taken down the Ravens and Steelers in their first two games.
An argument could be made for the Carolina Panthers as well. After taking down the Jets in their season opener, they blew out the Saints at home.
Do you agree with Cowherd’s latest power rankings?
