Baltimoreans can take water taxis for free this weekend to travel between several Inner Harbor neighborhoods during the two-day Most Festive Weekend celebration.
The new Holiday Harbor Connector will shuttle passengers between Fells Point, Harbor East, Harborplace, Federal Hill and Locust Point, according to a Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore news release.
“The Holiday Harbor Connector allows visitors to move easily between neighborhoods and experience the full scope of programming taking place along the waterfront,” Partnership President Dan Taylor said in the release. “This celebration has continued to grow, and this year’s addition of free water-taxi service marks another step forward in making the waterfront more connected, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”
The celebration debuted as a one-day festival in 2022 and expanded to two days the following year.
Highlights will include the Holiday Makers Market at the Harborplace Light Street Pavilion, which will feature offerings from more than 60 local artisans, small businesses and vendors, and the annual Parade of Lighted Boats.

Attendees can enjoy seasonal decor, food and beverages while participating in performances and family activities around the Harbor. The addition of the water taxi service, which is being paid for with private donations, removes the challenge of arranging transportation between far-flung events, the release said.
Festival-goers should be prepared to bundle up; the National Weather Service forecast is calling for some of the chilliest temperatures of the season so far, with highs in the low 40s and lows in the upper 20s for the entire weekend.
