Ambiguous answers from the Ravens’ quarterback

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s first podium appearance since contracting COVID-19 a second time was mired in COVID-19 questions.

According to Jackson, he wanted to “inspire the kids” when it comes to the vaccine efforts posed by Baltimore city, yet when asked about his decisions regarding the vaccine, passed the buck to team doctors and it being a “personal decision.”

“I feel that it’s a personal decision,” Jackson said. “I’m just going to worry about that with my family. Keep my feelings to my family and myself. My focus is on getting better right now. I can’t dwell on that right now about how everybody else feels. [I’m] just trying to get back into a great routine.”

Jackson was asked about whether the Ravens spoke directly to him about getting vaccinated or the possibility of getting COVID a third time, to which he said he’ll speak with team doctors.

“I mean, I just got off the COVID list,” Jackson said. “I got to talk to my team doctors and try to see how they feel about it. Keep learning as much as I can about it and we’ll go from there.”

He was followed up by specifically being asked if he’ll “go for the vaccine.”

“We’ll see,” Jackson said. “We’ll see. talk to the doctors. We’ll see.”
