Latest Giants Comment Could Signal Sudden Free Agent Departure – 3 Potential Next Teams

December 24, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

With the New York Giants likely rebuilding a new offense for quarterback Jaxson Dart, the Giants could let pending free agent Wandale Robinson sign with another team this upcoming offseason. Robinson could be playing the final two regular-season games as a New York Giant since he’s in the final year of his rookie contract. Despite leading the team in receptions and receiving yards, this might not matter to the Giants, who will get Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo in the starting lineup again next year. Even though Robinson has been a consistent performer for the Giants, the wide receiver is letting his agents worry about what his next deal will look like.

“I’m just trying to continue to do what I can and finish this year out strong,” Robinson said. “I’m going to let my agents and my team handle that part of the business.”

Latest Giants Comment Could Signal Sudden Free Agent WanDale Robinson Departure

These comments show that he isn’t looking to leave New York, but he’s not closing the door on the possibility of signing a long-term deal elsewhere. Originally selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, the former Kentucky product is becoming one of the better slot receivers in today’s game. Robinson recorded a career-high of 142 yards and eight catches while Nabers has been the main contributor this Dart’s offense.

The wide receiver should have a market value depending on what he is looking for. If the Giants decide to let him walk and he signs with another team, many should expect the team to draft a new receiver. Here are three possible destinations for the upcoming free agent.

Next Possible Fits

Dallas Cowboys

If things don’t go as planned with George Pickens this free agency, the Dallas Cowboys could sign Robinson. However, Jerry Jones wants Pickens back, but he said the same thing about Micah Parsons last year, and he traded him to Green Bay. The future of this offense for Dak Prescott can go any way in the next several months.

Either way, the Cowboys will need to find a long-term WR3 to help CeeDee Lamb and Pickens (if they sign him) since Jalen Tolbert is a pending free agent as well. No one should expect Tolbert back since there has been optimism surrounding Ryan Flournoy. Despite that, Flournoy might not be ready for a WR3 role, and it would be better for the sake of this offensive pass-attack to sign Robinson to a two-year, worthy deal to strengthen this team.

Los Angeles Chargers

Meanwhile, the Chargers’ offensive ground game is good, but the pass-attack unit could use some work this upcoming offseason. Even if they look legitimate throughout the regular season, what matters is them winning in the postseason. If they can’t win in the playoffs, then none of what they worked for matters. This means that since the Chargers are getting younger and want to develop more receivers moving, they should sign Robinson to give KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Tre Harris another complementary weapon to learn from.

The expectation is that Keenan Allen will probably retire unless he wants to run it back for one more season. Ladd McConkey is the future of this pass offense, but Quentin Johnston is too inconsistent despite showing signs of improvement.

Baltimore Ravens

Robinson would be the perfect match for Lamar Jackson’s offense. The Ravens run a fast-paced offensive scheme, and having Robinson create some separation in the slot alongside Rashod Bateman should make life easier. With DeAndre Hopkins set to become a free agent in March, the Ravens’ signing Robinson for long-term relief to benefit Zay Flowers would be a no-brainer.
