Lamar Jackson has been extremely durable since entering the NFL in 2018, but the star quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens is in jeopardy of missing this Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
For the second day in a row, Jackson was not at practice for the Ravens. He was sent home on Wednesday with an illness that is not COVID-related.
When asked about Jackson’s status on Thursday afternoon, Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman said “I think he’s feeling better.”
Even though Roman had an encouraging update on Jackson, the NFL world is quite worried about the former MVP’s status heading into Week 11. It certainly doesn’t help that he has already missed four practices over the past few months because he’s been sick.
Here are some NFL fans’ reactions to Jackson’s absence:
Oof. Not good. But Lamar one of those players that don’t need practice if he’s fine by Sunday https://t.co/iLqw99sNDX

Despite dealing with multiple illnesses this season, Jackson has been very productive. In nine games this year, he has 2,447 passing yards, 639 rushing yards and 16 total touchdowns.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jackson can return in time for Friday’s practice session. So far this week, Tyler Huntley has handled the first-team reps at quarterback.
The Ravens will release Jackson’s game designation for Week 11 on Friday. If he can’t suit up this weekend, Huntley will start at quarterback.
