The Baltimore Ravens were able to win a thrilling game against the Indianapolis Colts by the final score of 31-25. Through three quarters Baltimore wasn’t able to get much of anything going on either side of the football, but in the fourth quarter and the subsequent overtime period the Ravens found their groove, rattling off touchdown drive after touchdown drive to secure the victory.
After the game, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh talked about the performance of quarterback Lamar Jackson, praising the fourth-year player for what he did throughout the contest, going as far as to call it one of the greatest performances he’s ever seen.
“It’s one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen. And it wasn’t easy. It wasn’t like we came out just up and down the field. We had to overcome and fight through some things. He was under pressure, and he created plays with his feet. He threw the ball away when he had to throw it away. Once we started … When we were in that situation you’re talking about, we went into our fast mode, no huddle, two-minute-type mode and just came alive – all of our guys did. All the guys who made plays and the offensive line, but it starts with Lamar [Jackson]. He deserves the credit.”
Jackson finished the contest completing 37-of-43 passes for 442 yards and four passing touchdowns to go along with 62 rushing yards. He put on arguably the best performance of his career, and Harbaugh clearly agrees. The quarterback has led the Ravens to victory with both his arm and his legs, believing in himself and continuing to show the world why he’s a superstar.
