It appears we can close the door on the possibility of Todd Gurley joining the Baltimore Ravens, at least for the time being.
The 27-year-old Gurley, who was actually born in Baltimore, is still a free agent after spending last season with the Atlanta Falcons. When the Ravens lost second-year back J.K. Dobbins to a torn ACL over the weekend, speculation arose that Gurley could be a fit to bolster the team’s depth at the position.
However, NFL insider Josina Anderson says the Ravens are “not expected” to pursue Gurley right now, as the team is reportedly content with its running back options.
In the wake of the injury to J.K Dobbins, my understanding is the #Ravens currently like their depth at the running back position and the team is not expected to pursue Todd Gurley, at this time.

Dobbins seemed primed for a breakout season before his injury. Now, Gus Edwards is projected to carry the load in the Baltimore backfield, with Justice Hill and Ty’Son Williams providing support.
As for Gurley, the former Rams star has never been the same since his knee began bothering him during the 2018 season.
The 2015 Offensive Rookie of the Year and 2017 NFL Offensive Player of the Year might have to wait until the season starts in order to get another opportunity–if he even gets one at all.
