The Baltimore Ravens have signed long-time Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander.
The Baltimore Ravens have announced they’ve signed cornerback Jaire Alexander. According to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec, Alexander signed a one-year deal worth $4 million, that can be worth up to $6 million. Also, Alexander turned down more money elsewhere to join the Ravens due to being perennial contenders and playing with former teammate and close friend, Lamar Jackson.

On Tuesday, Jackson was asked if he had spoken to Alexander about being available and wanting to play with him. Jackson was blunt in his answer at the post-minicamp practice podium.
“Go get him, Eric,” Jackson said. “I love all of our corners, don’t get me wrong, but go get him, Eric. Yes, I hit him up, but you don’t know. You never know with Jaire. That’s my boy.”
After signing his contract, Jackson was the first one to welcome him to the Ravens.

With the addition of Alexander, the Ravens’ secondary could be all first-round selections in cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Alexander and safeties Kyle Hamilton and Malaki Starks.
Alexander, 28, joins the Ravens after seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers, who selected him in with the No. 18 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. In that time, he’s earned two Pro Bowls and two Second-Team All-Pros.
