The Baltimore Ravens suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins in Week 10 of the 2021 season, falling by the final score of 22-10. Baltimore struggled mightily on the offensive side of the football, as they didn’t score a touchdown until just over four minutes to go in the contest.
One of the things that has been an issue for the Ravens over the course of the year has been the inability to get off to fast starts. When Baltimore tight end Mark Andrews was asked about the slow starts, he expressed a lot of confidence in his team, saying they would learn from their mistakes and build on the positives.
“Yes, I think you look at our first drive today, and we didn’t – and we were moving the ball. You know, we moved the ball pretty well. But, you know, that’s one of those things that we have to go in and work on, is just starting fast. We have a bunch of players that work hard and, you know, fly around, play 100 percent. And coaches that, you know, coach us hard and really care. So, we’re going to get this thing down. There’s a lot of positives that happened tonight. You know, we’re a 6-3 ball team, and, you know, there’s a lot of positives. And that’s what we’re going to build on, learn from the mistakes, and build on the positives. And we’re going to continue to be a dangerous team.”
There’s no questioning just how disappointing the Ravens’ loss to Miami was, especially because of how much the Dolphins were struggling over the course of the season. However, the team has to move on from their performance and learn from what they did wrong during the contest, much like Andrews mentioned. Baltimore is still a very talented football team, and if they can get a few more things clicking more consistently, they can continue to be that dangerous team that Andrews talked about.
