At this time, one year ago, the Washington Commanders had just hired general manager Adam Peters. He was in Mobile, Alabama, at the Senior Bowl as the Commanders were in the middle of a coaching search. Washington held the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, where it was expected to take a quarterback.
One year later, the Commanders are coming off a 12-5 regular season in addition to two playoff wins. Washington did select a quarterback, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, who broke numerous franchise and NFL records in 2024.
Peters is back in Mobile this week, but his priorities are different. Thankfully, he does not need a quarterback and looks to build a roster around his franchise quarterback. Washington picks 29th overall in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft, which makes events like the Senior Bowl even more critical.
The Commanders need help in the trenches and more explosive playmakers around Daniels. So, we look at 10 Senior Bowl prospects who could catch Washington’s eye this week.
