NASCAR drivers Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick have been feuding for a while, but some of the antics between the two have bordered on the outright dangerous – and NASCAR has had enough.
According to Jenna Fryer of the Associated Press, NASCAR engaged the two drivers and issued a serious warning to them. The racing body pledged that there would be “serious consequences” if their feud continues this way.
“NASCAR had a call yesterday with all parties in the Harvick-Elliott feud and warned of serious consequences should it continue,” Fryer tweeted on Thursday. “(Am told NASCAR did all the talking a call of at least six people).”
The feud between Elliott and Harvick is more than just a war of words. Their cars recently made contact during the Roval race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Kevin Harvick has compared talking to Chase Elliott to talking to his nine-year-old son. “Identical, I mean 100-percent,” Harvick said in a recent interview after having a heated conversation with him.
Elliott, meanwhile, has taken a few shots at Harvick in the media that he’s particularly proud of. After eliminating Harvick, Elliott’s message to his rival was, “As far as Kevin goes, just want to wish them a merry offseason and a happy Christmas.”
He followed that up by putting a Christmas sweater on his team shop with that same message.
But it appears that NASCAR wants to avoid seeing this feud escalate to the point where one of the drivers can get the other seriously hurt.
We’ll see if their warning is enough.
