The Washington Football Team improved to 5-6 after a 17-15 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
Washington dominated the game yet hung on at the end when wide receiver Adam Humphries recovered Seattle’s second onside kick attempt.
The win moves Washington into the No. 7 — and final — NFC playoff spot. After the WFT’s ugly 17-10 loss to the Broncos in Week 8, being in the playoff hunt one month later almost seemed unthinkable.
Now, Washington controls its own destiny with six games remaining, including five in a row against the NFC East to end the season. Washington is currently two games behind the Cowboys for first place in the division.
