Everyone knows the Washington Football Team needs a quarterback. It’s by far the franchise’s most significant need heading into the offseason, and the need is so great that head coach Ron Rivera is working to find a quarterback through the trade market.
But, as we all know, the chance of Rivera filling that need via the trade market is far from guaranteed. Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson will likely stay put. Deshaun Watson has a no-trade clause and legal issues, while new Raiders coach Josh McDaniels will probably keep Derek Carr.
So that leaves Rivera with an unappealing free-agent market that includes Mitchell Trubisky and Jameis Winston, among others.
In all likelihood, Washington lands a veteran passer, but it may not excite fans. And Washington will also likely look to find a young quarterback in the 2022 NFL draft.
That leads us to the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
The 2022 Senior Bowl is loaded at the quarterback position. No, this draft doesn’t feature the quality of the 2021 NFL draft, but all six passers are intriguing.
As Senior Bowl week begins Monday, here are all six quarterbacks Washington fans should know. There’s a solid chance one ends up with the WFT in April.
