Rivera said the refs told him once Heinicke dove he gave himself up. Rivera thought he was diving and clearly didn’t give himself up. But he also said he didn’t have to dive; don’t leave it up to interpretation.

That’s all on Heinicke. He had the easy score. This only happens to this team. I am confident in that.
— Washington Wire (@Washington_Wire) October 24, 2021
His last 3 throws are why he’s not an NFL starter but his athleticism and confidence are why he’s definitely an NFL backup. #WashingtonFootball
— Kevin Sheehan (@kevinsheehanDC) October 24, 2021
Heinicke does not lead his receivers at all and throws every pass high, which is infuriating… I love his potential as a long-term backup but the lack of arm talent is painfully apparent

“While all parties are hopeful (Fitzpatrick) will return this season, the rehab has gone slower than expected, and it is not a certainty that he makes it back onto the field at all.” https://t.co/CX5HnriffQ

Offseason priority list. #washingtonfootball
1. Quarterback
— WFT (@_mattschoen_) October 24, 2021
This is the first game of Tress Way’s career where he has not punted.
He’s been with the team since 2014.

Today’s loss means Washington will enter the month of November with a losing record in 15 of the last 21 seasons.

2-5. Gotta go all in at Denver or it’s over before the bye

Jon Allen: losing teams find ways to lose games…. Right now we’re losing
— John Keim (@john_keim) October 24, 2021
Washington offense has crossed the opposing 30-yard line four times today.
They have 7 points.

“Green Bay has allowed a touchdown in the red zone on every drive this season”

I CANNOT emphasize ENOUGH how BAD Washington’s defense has been to start games this year. It is IMPOSSIBLE to underestimate their futility. Let’s recap: pic.twitter.com/3ehP7Jp85A

Like we’ve seen all season from Heinicke, he’s missing receivers high. Even McLaurin can’t get up to get it. Fortunate it didn’t sail into hands of the safety. pic.twitter.com/NpLrIb1sqN
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) October 24, 2021
Excellent job by McKissic to pull in yet another high throw from Heinicke and make a move to find space and pick up positive yards on the screen. pic.twitter.com/eRrX4AVsc0
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) October 24, 2021
Missed tackles continue to be an issue for Washington’s defense. This time Jamin Davis is the guilty party pic.twitter.com/qcjs8COFP2

No real need for Benjamin St-Juste to wrap his arm around Adams here, I’m guessing he hadn’t fully located the ball, but if he had, he’d have seen he had a clear path to it. pic.twitter.com/N1WtbhufTL

Rodgers actually had the first down to Adams much earlier in the play, but scrambles. Chase Young, who dropped into coverage, then commits to chasing down Rodgers, which leaves hole inside for Adams to slip into. Rodgers finds him for the TD pic.twitter.com/gwXH9kFqVz

Very similar INT to the one Heinicke threw trying to hit Curtis Samuel a few weeks ago. Never really there, but ball needs to be deep and outside to back corner of the end zone. Instead, it’s floaty and short, easy for DB to turn and INT it. pic.twitter.com/KqW1zGujaV
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) October 24, 2021
The only person who doesn’t wanna hear that is Landon
— WFT (@_mattschoen_) October 24, 2021
Written articles nearly every week showing the opportunities Heinicke has missed. Not Turner’s fault that McLaurin dropped a TD, Heinicke dived short of the GL and then threw a bad INT. Players have to execute https://t.co/8bCOWAsMDt

Dude lost his starting quarterback one drive into the season and people wanted his job
— Matt Valdovinos (@MVScouting) October 24, 2021
Defense had their best game. Landon Collins didn’t get toasted. (Wonder why). The offense moved the ball with ease, and they still got blown out. When you lose in a different way each week, it’s on the coaches. Can’t put it any other way.

Fletcher Cox says he doesn’t get paid to play screens. He says he gets paid to sack the quarterback.

In Marc Trestman’s final year in Chicago they still averaged over five more points per game (19.9) than Matt Nagy’s offense.
We thought that was rock bottom back then, but we had no idea just how deep they still had yet to go. https://t.co/SqzYuUCMMT

I am going to sue Matt Nagy. I don’t know for what yet, but he is so sued. https://t.co/9qP9UJt8vY

Justin Fields recorded a QBR of 1.9 in today’s loss to the Bucs.
It’s the second-worst QBR game this season, trailing only Davis Mills’ 0.7 in Week 4 in a loss to the Bills.
Fields’ QBR this season is 16.7, the lowest among all qualifiers.

Tom Brady just walked over to this little boy with :33 left in the game, handed him his hat and shook his hand… and the boy broke down in tears. Man, that one got me. pic.twitter.com/UC7qA7MRkT
