Wow. @MLombardi said he wouldn’t have given up on Howell yet. Also thinks Howell’s father should have driven up to Washington & confronted the staff for how they set him up to fail. Said 4/5 teams wanted him badly in the offseason. He thinks he’s better than most in this draft.

What does not give up on Howell mean in context of Jayden Daniels? He’s the young backup who never plays, thus lowering his value next trade cycle? Keep him as the rookie’s *vet* mentor or dismiss the idea that a teammate mentor matters? Trade out of 2 altogether?

He said he would have probably taken Daniels too. But he’d rather have him as a backup than Mariota. Especially given he’s on a rookie contract.
