Arch Manning has already garnered quite the reputation for himself as a high school junior. With his impressive pedigree and his remarkable performance on the field, the Isidore Newman quarterback has carved out a spot for himself as one of the best college football recruits in recent memory.
Manning will get a chance to add to his reputation on Thursday night in a major way when his team plays on national television.
Arch’s Isidore Newman will take on St. Charles Catholic at 8 p.m. ET this evening and the game will air on NBC Sports Network. The nationally televised broadcast should give the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2023 a chance to show off his impressive skillset in front of a large audience.
Manning was already on national television as a sophomore last year and Thursday won’t be the last time he gets the chance to play for a widespread audience. However, tonight will give him a huge opportunity to showcase his talent and add to the hype that’s already surrounding him.

Thursday night’s game between Isidore Newman and St. Charles Catholic will also carry another sort of significance for Arch. A notable head coach from one of the college programs looking to recruit the young quarterback will be on hand for the contest.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian will be at Thursday night’s game in Louisiana to get an up-close look at Manning in action. The Longhorns will then welcome in the high school junior to Austin two days later.
Arch has reportedly been a fan of Sarkisian and Texas so far, so Thursday could go a long way in building their relationship further.
“They are just good guys,” Manning said of Sarkisian and the staff at Texas, per Dawgs HQ’s Jake Reuse recently. “They’re just laid back, good people. That’s the kind of guys I like.”
In his junior season so far, Arch has been lights out, throwing for 1,050 yards, 16 touchdowns and no interceptions through four games. Those number have boosted his career statistics at Isidore Newman up to 5,410 passing yards, 85 total touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 24 starts.
Manning will look to keep the momentum rolling and show out in front of a national audience tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
