Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield took a big shot that forced him to leave Sunday’s game versus the Patriots.
After the game, Mayfield was asked if he thinks he’ll be a go for next week’s matchup against the Detroit Lions.
The 26-year-old QB didn’t mince words when asked about his status for Week 11.

One thing that can’t be questioned about the Browns’ fourth year QB is his toughness. Mayfield has battled through a left shoulder separation, torn labrum, tuberosity fracture, and now a knee issue.

The injury bug couldn’t come at a worse time for Baker, who’s been durable throughout his career.
Mayfield’s missed time could give Cleveland pause when it comes to picking up his fifth-year option. Since a statistically record-breaking rookie year, it’s been up-and-down for the former No. 1 pick.
The Heisman trophy winner finished last season extremely strong, but he’s struggled to make the elite jump that some fans and the organization were expecting from a QB taken first overall in the 2018 draft.
Baker’s injury status will no doubt be a story heading into next week. We’ll see if he can recover in time to face the still-winless Lions.
