The Washington Football Team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 29-19 win over the highly-favored Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at FedEx Field.
Washington led the entire game, and anytime it appeared Tom Brady and Bucs were closing in to take control, WFT quarterback Taylor Heinicke had an answer.
Washington’s defense continues to improve and resemble the unit many expected to enter in 2021. Unfortunately for Washington, the team faces injuries to both starting defensive ends, Montez Sweat and Chase Young. Young left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury, and the initial diagnosis appears to be a torn ACL.
Despite the absence of Young for the remainder of the game, Washington’s defense held the Buccaneers to a season-low 273 total yards.
Now, here are some of the top photos from Washington’s triumph over the Bucs.
