Triple H joined the WWE in 1996, after years in the IWF and WCW, quickly becoming one of the company’s biggest stars as a heel during the famed “Attitude Era.”
He’s become incredibly influential outside of the ring over the last decade-plus as well. In 2010, he joined the company as an Executive Senior Advisor, , and was promoted to Executive Vice {resident a year later. He is the founder and executive producer of WWE-owned NXT, which serves as a farm system for the main wrestling company.
According to the WWE statement, Triple H’s cardiac issue was “caused by a genetic heart issue” and he is expected to make a full recovery. That is obviously great news.

Triple H is tight with WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, having married his daughter Stephanie McMahon back in 2003. Neither Levesque nor McMahon has posted about his hospitalization at this time.
Sean Ross Sapp of wrestling and MMA site Fightful says that the WWE has informed him that Triple H is recovering well.
Sending love Triple H’s way. I hope he heals up soon. I was told by the company he’s doing well now https://t.co/KUY7P2mZME

2020 was the first year of Triple H’s wrestling career that he did not wrestle in a match, instead opting for a few other on-camera appearances during the year. That part of his time with the WWE is clearly winding down, but hopefully we see him back in some capacity soon, when he is healthy enough to do so.
