It didn’t take long for former Washington Football Team kicker Dustin Hopkins to land a new job after his release last week.
On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Chargers signed the former Washington kicker, announcing the move via Twitter.

There was no way Hopkins wasn’t finding a job this season. While inconsistent at times, Hopkins was solid for Washington through parts of seven seasons. He signed with the WFT in Sept. 2015 and was the team’s kicker until a week ago.
Throughout his career, Hopkins made 84% of his field-goal attempts with Washington. This season, Hopkins was 12 of 14 on his field-goal attempts and 10 of 12 on point-after attempts.
To make room for Hopkins, the Chargers released Tristan Vizcaino.
Chris Blewitt replaced Hopkins as Washington’s kicker. In his first game for Washington, Blewitt made his only PAT and made one of his two field-goal attempts, both of which were over 40 yards. The Packers blocked Blewitt’s first attempt.
