Former NBA star turned Turner Sports analyst Charles Barkley has doubled down on his “hardest job in sports” claim.
The legendary NBA big man believes that a certain college football head coaching job is the toughest job in all of sports.
Barkley, who played collegiately at Auburn, believes the Tigers’ head coaching job is currently the toughest job in all of sports.
The NBA analyst is a fan of Auburn’s new head coach, Bryan Harsin. He believes it says a lot about him to take a job at Auburn, where you’re forced to go up against Nick Saban and Alabama every single season.
“I like our new coach; I like Coach Harsin a lot,” Barkley said. “He took a big chance and that tells me he’s got courage and conviction.”
Barkley added that the Auburn job is the toughest in all of sports.
“He took the hardest job in college sports, but to come to Alabama and go against Nick Saban, that tells me he wanted to test himself,” Barkley said.

Barkley compared going up against Saban every year to facing Michael Jordan.
“We have to go against Michael Jordan every year and I look forward to that challenge,” he said.
Auburn is set to host Alabama on Nov. 27 this year.
