The Colorado Rockies have released a statement regarding the disgusting, horrible fan incident that took place during Sunday’s game.
Toward the end of Sunday afternoon’s game, a fan can be heard shouting the N-word at Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson, who is Black. The fan can be heard shouting the word multiple times in clear audio.
Colorado has since released a statement.
“The Colorado Rockies are disgusted at the racial slur by a fan directed at the Marlins’ Lewis Brinson during the ninth inning of Sunday’s game. Although the subject was not identified prior to the end of the game, the Rockies are still investigating this incident,” the statement reads.
“The Rockies have zero tolerance for any form of racism or discrimination, and any fan using derogatory language of any kind will be ejected and banned from Coors Field.”

Hopefully the fan is found and held responsible for this reprehensible act.
The Rockies won Sunday’s game, defeating the Marlins, 13-8.
